March 25-26th, 2021 Meeting will be Virtual Meeting

Registration: 8am – 9am
Conference Time: 9am – 4pm

With our annual conference being held near North Carolina’s Research Triangle, we have an excellent opportunity to engage with sociologists who occupy various positions within multiple organizations. We are excited to explore the many ways that sociologists engage with the discipline through their work at universities, colleges, non-profit organizations, private sector positions, and government organizations.  How we ‘do’ sociology extends to our research, teaching, actions and community involvement.  This inclusive conference will allow us to engage with the many ways our work as sociologists, both inside and outside of the classroom has a meaningful impact on our communities at large.

Submission Details

Submission Deadline: February 12, 2021

  • Submit your paper, poster session, and/or full sessions via the NCSA submission portal.
  • (1). Individual Papers (Teaching or Research): You may submit abstracts of individual papers to be considered for inclusion in a regular paper session. These abstracts will be organized into sessions based on common themes by the program committee members. All regular paper submissions should include: (a) the title of the paper, (b) names, affiliations, and contact information for each author, and (c) an abstract (approximately 250-400 words).
  • (2). Full Session Proposals (proposed sessions with proposed speakers): All complete session proposals must include a short abstract (250-400 words) detailing the theme of the session. Additionally, you must include full details for all the included participants (see number 1 above). This includes the presider and organizer, in addition to the presenters. All sessions must have at least three (3) presentations.
  • (3). Special Format (e.g., roundtables, workshops, panel discussions, etc.) We accept roundtables, workshops, panel discussions, or special format sessions on sociological topics. These proposals should be submitted as a complete or closed session, meaning all participants will focus on a single topic and must have agreed to participate before the organizer submits the proposal. Additionally, you must include full details for all included participants (see details in number 1 above).
