Sociology in a Time of Crisis: Advocacy for Change

In recent years, our nation has experienced several crises that have had far-reaching consequences that have impacted our health, economy, and environment, as well as our humanitarian and political well-being. While these experiences are not new by any means, our current climate has become increasingly divisive, exacerbating problems further. It is well past time to advocate for change. Sociologists have the tools to examine controversial issues and champion for equality and justice. As such, this year’s NCSA conference will focus on the many inequalities and social problems that have become more illuminated in recent years to create dialogue and promote positive change in our society for the betterment of all.
